Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) is committed to giving all their athletes the opportunity to reach their full potential, with the intent to ski more with higher quality; the expanded race venue created through The Podium Project has leveraged that goal at CVA.In 2021, Kirk Dwyer, the Alpine Program Director at CVA, collaborated with others to orchestrate The Podium Project at the Sugarloaf Ski Resort in Maine, striving to achieve their strategic vision.

Local Youth to Compete in Colorado Snowboarding Competition
STRONG – At the end of this month, Lorenzo Warren, 11-year-old son of Selina and Jonny Warren, along with the eight other members of his team from Carrabassett Valley Academy’s Snowboard Weekend Program, will head to Copper Mountain in Colorado for the Annual United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association’s (USASA) National Championships.

Carrabassett Valley Academy sends seven athletes to compete at the 2024 Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championship
CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) proudly announces that seven of its Freestyle Moguls athletes have been selected to compete at the prestigious 2024 Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championship. The event is scheduled to take place from March 22 to March 24 at Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire. These athletes have qualified for both Mogul and Dual Mogul events, showcasing their exceptional skill and dedication to their sport.

Big Dog Athletes Shine at Youth Olympic Games

Representing the state of Maine with skill and pride, these young competitors showcased their talent on the international stage. All three athletes secured top-10 finishes in their events and will be returning to Maine with two silver medals. -
CVA's Morgan Shute '25 Wins Silver at Youth Olympic Games
CVA is proud to announce that student-athlete Morgan Shute '25 has earned a silver medal for Team USA after her stellar performance at the Youth Olympic Games in the Women’s Ski Cross event. Morgan demonstrated exceptional consistency, winning every heat leading up to the Big Finals, where she saw an incredible 2nd place finish.

Moguls student-athletes, Jack Egan '25 and Chase Littlefield '24 have been selected as first and second alternates, respectively, for Team USA. -
